Want to get better at pickleball, faster? Whether you’re picking up a paddle for the first time or working toward 4.0+, Peak Time Pickleball offers a wide variety of clinics and small-group programs every week at our South End club. Here’s a guide to what’s on the schedule and how to find the right fit for your level.
Why take a clinic?
Open Play is great for getting games in, but focused coaching is where real improvement happens. Our clinics are grouped by skill level and kept small, so you get more reps, more feedback and more time on the ball. Most sessions are drop-in, so you can train when it fits your schedule, with no long-term commitment.
Brand new? Start with Learn to Play
Learn to Play Pickleball is our beginner-friendly introduction, led by coach Julie Smith on Saturday mornings. You’ll learn the rules, scoring and basic strokes, then put them to work in real points in a relaxed, welcoming setting. No experience needed.
Build your skills: Drilling & Training
Our core clinic series is led by coaches Julie Smith and Kramer Sneed on our dedicated training courts. Each 90-minute session is grouped by level, so you drill with players at your pace:
- 2.75–3.25: Tuesdays
- 3.0–3.5 (Afternoon): Mondays
- 3.25–3.75: Fridays
- 3.5–3.75: Wednesdays
- 3.75+: Thursdays
Expect focused work on dinks, drops, resets, volleys and transition play, finished with live-ball practice so new skills carry into your games.
Small-group coaching with Elisha
- Drill & Play with Elisha: targeted drills followed by coached game play for 3.5–4.0 players, capped at four players. Tuesdays.
- 3 & Me with Coach Elisha: three players, one coach. A semi-private format that gives you near-private attention at a group price. Offered for 3.25–3.5 on Wednesdays and 3.75–4.0+ on Thursdays.
Ready to compete? Play with a Referee
On select Saturdays, 3.5+ players can experience officiated match play. It’s ideal if you’re preparing for a tournament or want to tighten up your rules knowledge and on-court etiquette.
Private lessons with our coaches
Peak Time is home to top-level coaches with professional certifications and tournament experience. Beyond our scheduled clinics, they offer private and semi-private lessons on an ongoing basis, plus pop-up clinics throughout the year. Meet our coaches and book a lesson on CourtReserve.
Also at Peak Time: Dinkademics
Dinkademics is a pickleball instruction program that hosts its sessions at Peak Time. Led by Wynn Johnson, Dinkademics offers early-morning drill-and-play sessions for 3.5–4.0 players on Thursday and Friday mornings. Dinkademics sessions are listed on our CourtReserve schedule for easy booking.
Not sure which level is right for you?
Most clinics are grouped by skill rating. If you have a DUPR rating, use it. No rating yet? Come get your Peak Time club rating at our Rating Review Sessions, every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Learn more on our Player Ratings page.
