Learn American Mahjong in a 3 class beginner series: Mahj’N 101, Mahj’N 102, and Mahj’N Play. Each class runs 6:00 to 7:30 pm. All mahjong sets and learning materials provided.

Sign up for 1, 2, or all 3 lessons. Most players need at least 2 lessons to fully grasp the game and cover all the rules.

Mahj’N 101 — Brand new, first time players. Learn the basics: identifying tiles, the objective, reading the NMJL card, and format of play. No experience needed.

Mahj’N 102 — For players who took 101, had a private lesson, or know the basics. Review tiles and the card, learn additional rules, and get more guided play. 101 and 102 together cover the full game.

Mahj’N Play — For players who know the tiles, basic rules, and pace of play. A great follow up after two lessons. Play with an instructor present to build confidence in setup, dealing, the Charleston, picking a hand, and remembering the rules. Gets you ready to play independently.
