Coached Game Play with Julie – Aug 24 2026

Beginners and Advanced Beginners!

Come join us in our Coached Game Play with Julie.  We will focus on increasing our pickleball IQ while playing out rallies. 

At first, we will alternate servers and positions and stop play after each rally – without keeping score. This takes the pressure off  so you can focus on playing – not the score. 

We may talk about things like:

• Importance of deep serves and returns
• Court positioning and shot selection
• Recognizing opportunities and patterns
• Staying low, calm and still – especially through transition
• Recognizing and correcting repeated errors
• Moving your opponents around  – Create space and use it!
• Improving your placement over power shots
• Working on Respecting the X and knowing when it’s best not to
• Improving footwork to allow us to have better stroke technique
• Other things that the players want to focus on – I always ask each player at the start of the session

Then we will play out games and focus on maintaining the work done, even when the scoring becomes live!

We will each develop techniques to remain calm and confident even though the game is on.

And it will all be FUN!
